A Time to Reflect and Give Thanks

We should really give thanks each and every day of the year. As we gather together here, and with loved ones today, let us take a moment to reflect on the countless blessings in our lives. From the biggest gifts to the smallest joys, every good and perfect gift comes from our loving Father.

I give thanks for salvation, forgiveness, and the new life found in Christ. Let us also acknowledge other things that bring us joy - the taste of food, the warmth of a good night's rest, the beauty of nature, and the love of family and friends. Especially good health.

The Bible reminds us in Psalm 107:1-3, "Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the LORD say so..." In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we're encouraged to "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ."

As we come into God's presence with thanksgiving, let us express our gratitude to those around us. Reach out to a loved one, write a note, or make a phone call to tell them how thankful you are for them and spread love.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you with grateful hearts. Thank you for your faithfulness and love. Thank you for the gift of salvation and the new life we have in Christ. Thank you for the simple joys and the big blessings. Help us to give thanks in all circumstances and to share our gratitude with those around us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Take a moment today to thank someone who has made a difference in your life. Write a note, make a call, or express your gratitude in person. May our hearts be filled with thankfulness and our lives be a reflection of God's love and faithfulness.

I am thankful for you my friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ here. Have a great, beautiful, and blessed day.

Amen 🙏🏻

Oftentimes struggle is real in terms of gratitude towards challenges in my life. But I must remember that God places hurdles along my path to strengthen me. To prepare me. To love me...like Only He can.

I'm grateful for you, LadyGrace.

May you have a wonderful day , yourself.

@Punxi I'm grateful for you too, sister. God bless you abundantly, and may you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Of course, we know that we can be thankful all year round, but I particularly love what you said about life's challenges. You are so right. They are never there to hurt us but to help us learn and grow in Christ. Christ has not only made us conquerors through him, but more than conquerors through him. Romans 8:37 ❤🫂❤🙏

Time for all the Christmas specials. One of my favorites is A Charlie Brown's Christmas. I loved when they asked for the true meaning of Christmas and Linus tales the microphone and tells the story of the birth of Christ. The network wanted to cut that but Charles Shultz stood his ground. He won and I still get chill bumps every time I hear the story.
@lasergraph I'm so happy he did. That's wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving, brother.

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
@Thinkerbell Amen. I love these verses. Thank you for sharing them.
Happy Thanksgiving, my friend !!!!
