Thank goodness, no. I think mine are lead.
@1490wayb

Maybe iron, then. The house was built in the 1930s.

@rinkydinkydoink definitely galvanized iron and in need of replacment. the inside of your pipes is VERY heavily corroded
@rinkydinkydoink Galvanized, I bet.

Are you talking about PEX, CPVC, or is quest it's own thing?
lpthehermit · 56-60, M
@RosaMarie quest is a GRAY colored plastic tubing no longer made due to its failing
2ndtimeguy · 61-69, M
They were created as an in expensive DIY repair not a complete house installation
@2ndtimeguy I am not aware of this usage, but your explanation seems plausible (though why one would replace failed Cu with PLASTIC is a bit of a head-scratcher, for me).
No. This was allowed for pressurized water, not simply waste?
@lpthehermit Where was this? I have only seen plastic as drain...or perhaps from a submerged pump's casing to a point inside a basement...

@SomeMichGuy many new-build homes in 80-90's had this installed, cheaper than copper plumbing lines
