So I think my buddy just moved in lol

So my buddy's been struggling and he's been in a bad place depression wise so he's been staying with us for a while he's had to sleep on her couch in the living room because we don't have extra space. I suggested that maybe we get a bed to put downstairs in the game room and he could sleep down there and have more privacy.

So I should have known better to say anything to him because he ordered a couch that turns into a twin size bed another electric fireplace a mini fridge and a TV and a indoor basketball goal for the boys and a bean bag chair for Sissy. A lot of this stuff I was planning to get later on down the road but I guess I'll take it since he's staying with us rent free LOL.

Like me you're obviously a decent person, putting up a friend in need. At least he's contributing something and hopefully pulling his weight around the place, but it's important you put a time limit on this of say three months, and stress that he must make every effort to find his own place and sort his life out.all I'm saying is, set boundaries and don't be too much of a soft touch!

@Strictsir my buddy and I have a very long history. We've been friends since grade school. He's in a dangerous state of mind right now and reached out because he was afraid of being alone. He did the same for me when we were younger.

@Cigarguy Yes, I got that, and hats off to you for doing right by him. He's obviously not freeloading, paying you in his own way by buying things for the home etc. Things will get better for him, and just being there to listen will help alot. Encourage him all that you can to rebuild his life if he's come out of a painful relationship etc. No woman defines a man: we are all individuals, in charge of our own destinies. Things will get better ,I'm sure. Good luck!
