Canadians 🇨🇦 I will be visitng Vancouver BC on business next week : is it a cool place? Lots to see and do?

@tenente not that far away....but not a bad area. you'll still probably run into some crazies. lots of walkable restaurants/bars. just stay away from hastings street. pretty sad druggie area

@tenente when you get off the plane you might smell the ocean....when you get out of the taxi downtown you'll probably smell weed 🙂

@tenente i got to see pele and beckenbauer walking the causeway in the 70s when they played with the new york cosmos....i told my dad to stop the car, but he said he can't block the traffic 🤣

@beermeplease My son and his family live on the east side. The area has been cleaned up a lot but occasionally the bums and street walkers appear!

@Quimliqer i guess it depends what part of the east side...look on youtube, search hastings street vancouver and you'll see some of the madness

@beermeplease Oh, is that where you're from? Yeah, it was awesome. The first time there I stayed right down on the waterfront ... a Marriot property I think 🤔 ... and I could see all the float planes taking off and landing from my room.

@sarabee1995 yeah but i don't live in vancouver proper. i used to live near the airport but moved. but i'm still pretty close to downtown.
