My guy friend won’t speak to me after our huge fight five days ago

Five days ago, my guy friend (let’s call him Eddy) texted me and told me he just saw Evan (my boyfriend that’s not his real name, but said that due to privacy) with another girl and sent me a photo. He was at a store. He took a picture of this back and the back of some girls back. I told him it could be anybody and people can have the same jacket. Eddy said he knows what he saw and he really saw him with another girl!
That’s impossible because he told me he was going to be a bit late and out date for postponed until 5pm. Then Eddy said that’s because he’s with that girl and he’ll be over to talk to me about it soon. So 10 minutes later he came over (he ubered at my house) and explained everything and I kept telling him it could be anybody. He got frustrated and said, “Look! I know what I saw okay?! I wouldn’t lie to you.” He pissed me off and we got into a huge fight. Eddy got upset with me saying, “I’m your good friend so why do you think I would be making this up? I want what’s best for you! Why are you tripping?!”
Then I said this, “Well you don’t want me dating Evan, you looked upset when I told you I met someone, you clearly are too protective of me and you want me to yourself, no other because you can’t get laid! You’re a virgin that can’t land a woman.”
He looked shocked and about to cry. He said, “Wow….I cannot BELIEVE what I just heard! So that’s what you think of me?! You know what, it doesn’t even matter because you don’t have the guts to listen to anymore. I’m gone! You are right about me. I’m very protective of you. I don’t want you to get hurt. You’re not the woman I thought you were. Maybe I should just leave you alone!” And he stormed off.
I just can’t believe what I said……but he was asking for it. After my date, I texted Eddy to apologize but he hasn’t tested me back. I hope he’s okay. I had a good date but I couldn’t think about what I said to Eddy.
