having shared more memories friends know details of a story, how it may affect you, you can trust and confide in them, reliable - being there when you need them they understand your feelings and share a deeper emotional bond - They have been in your presence longer and likely in person, an immediate source of support. encouraging goals without judgment and regular support

Deeper Conversations
Friends are more likely to engage in deep, meaningful conversations about life, goals, and personal growth.
They can offer advice that is tailored to your personality and situation.

acquaintances have less frequent contact, you see them at social events casual talk and less emotionally involved. also a source of support, resources that can help you solve a problem, offer fresh perspective, someone to listen, companionship and encouragement (which I would greatly appreciate) networking professional opportunities or contacts, advice and insights off their own experiences
