Who's your hero in life? Why? What did they do to earn that spot?

My Dad is MY hero...and a real life hero. During WWII his plane was shot down over Bastogne, Belgium, and, wounded, he made it inside for the siege. His entire crew were captured and they all died in German POW camps. His life was an inspiration, from beginning to end.
