How would you manage growing away from life-long friends due to their choice to remain stagnant?

Move on is an easy answer, but really ponder those ramifications.

Seems like a natural evolution if you’re moving forward while they’re staying in place. You’re busy, having new experiences, less time for them. They’re stagnant, so fewer things in common, less motivation to make contact, and the relationship fades over time.

Or, maybe they’re just happy cheering you on from the sidelines and you can learn to be content with that.
