It's a natural phenomenon that most people find interesting. If you've ever witnessed it, you might think differently. It won't change your life, but experiencing what life has to offer is generally worth it. I wouldn't drive anywhere to experience it, but I did buy eclipse glasses for my staff to watch.

Agreed. It is an interesting thing and might help students get interested in astronomy. But the sun will go down and then come up (relatively be to our position on the planet).

Well you may only ever see one or two complete solar eclipses in your life. The next complete one is in 20 year's
