How should I help her?

I have a neighbour that am close with, we go to evening walks and spend time sometimes.

I know she has been having some issues with mother in law and sister in law she’s living with.

Lately I’ve seen her growing very thin and frail. Also during our walking she tripped and fell hurt her nose and asked me not to tell anyone in her family about it.

Not sure how I can help her

Probably domastic abuse. She needs to know her life won't end in misery if she stands for her self. It's the feeling of isolation, which stops them from making the right decisions.

A way to get her out of that abusive environment would be for you to invite her to come and live with you in your house. If she declines your offer, there is nothing more that you can do for her if she won't take the hand that tries to free her from the jail she is being held hostage in by her relatives.
