So who are your SW friends

I read the posts and wonder who you really are behind that mask of anonymity, be it actress, sportsman, funeral director, nurse, politician, housewife, priest, whatever, it doesn't really matter.
We are here on SW for a purpose and therefore tend to gravitate to those who are of like thinking or have similar interests when we choose for our circle of friends.

My purpose is to improve or validate myself by sifting through the thoughts of others, overcoming isolation, supporting others, seeking answers, questioning truths and tryi g to make some friends.

@Rusham Very true. I have been on SW since its very first week - I had a small established network of friends on EP, some of whom made it here, so I had a starting point. Other like-minded folk have come and gone over the past 7 years - I'm never really sure why some of those just disappear without a word..... I can only assume their domestic situations change and they can no longer continue living a parallel life.

@ArtieKat this is exactly my situation too.
I still chat four of my ex EP friends almost daily on messenger. From my group of EP friends who wanted me to send them a joke regularly the group has dropped to 21. Three I think have died as their email boxes were neglected over a long period. One asked to have the email stopped but about 6 months ago they asked to receive the email again.

@Lyfis2live kindness is important but there are so many more aspects to friendship than kindness. For me empathy, honesty, trust, and companionship are most important too..

I am old EP migrant too. But didn’t have any friends carried over here.
Enjoy chats, humor and few other interests.
Nice to make friends but have not made any regular steady friends here yet. But I am hopeful to make few.
