This weird or not?

So recently got chatting more to another mum at the school where my kids go. We'd chatted a little before on the school run etc. Anyhoo she turned up on my doorstep yesterday (she lives on the same street) asked for my number after a brief chat at the door.
Next thing I know she's texting me tonight and inviting herself around for a coffee next week.
Now I've never been good with in your face type people. I tend to keep people at arms length, and I'm not comfortable being too clicky with anyone really.
So I've kind of put her off for now. Nice enough chick, but bit of a gossip type.
Anyone else a bit weary of people. Not keen of getting clicky really?

My best friend of 30 yrs died last Feb. No-one will come close to her friendship.

I guess I'm kind of guarded 🤷
