Your best friend has confided in you...

That unfortunately they have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. They may not make it out the year. They ask you not to tell anyone at all as they want to be the one to tell friends and family themselves.

They have not given any time frame for when they will deliver the news as as they are still coming to the realization that they may die soon.

You are very close with the family and have several mutual friends. How will you handle this? Can you keep this a secret?

Been through that and no they did not keep a secret and it exploded im no longer friends with many who did this

@Lilnonames I see. Sometimes people have good intentions. But sometimes people should respect their friend's wishes if that is what they are asking. It's definitely tough. It would be hard to see someone's mom or dad and know that their child is dying and they don't know yet and I'm sworn to secrecy. Definitely tough.
