Would you retain a mate who has a terrible spouse you want no association with ?

I'm already socially uncomfortable without Mr Motor Mouth all over my business every time. EVERY BLOODY TIME 😑

I cut a friend loose once because of her partner. She would turn up at my door at 3:00 am after fighting with him. That was bad enough, until he began showing up looking for her and threatening to kick in my door. I called the police on him, she’s begging me not to press charges—no thanks. She was not going to leave him, but he wasn’t going to be a problem in my life.
So I had to let her go, too. 🙁

@bijouxbroussard I only see my male bestfriend year to year and made the mistake once of homing his then partner. They had a very toxic relationship and I was smack in the middle of it. Never made the same mistake twice
