I recently lost my best friend it sucks
I don’t have a best friend as such. I have a range of friends a few close ones but even they drift in and out over the years depending on our common interests at the time.

I’ll be your friend. It would be an honour and a privilege.

You will have one.. think.. 2034

I’ve seen this more and more. Even people who were friends for years. One person told me how the other person was their best friend. The other in a separate time said they were friends with them only because they’ve been friends since they were kids.

People get to be friends by getting to know each other through talking with each other.
If you're looking for a best friend on SW, you may have more success if you were to respond to messages. But, as you say on your profile page, you don't.

Building friends is an evolution.
We've begun the process.
I would like to continue.

Same, I always think about how I’m scared to get married as I won’t have a best man

Most people use friendship as a way to leverage others...

Artificial labels almost always do more harm than good. If you are happy with your relationship with these people as they have been going, then let them be what they are, without worrying about if someone is your “best friend”.
Also, not everyone needs an actual “best friend” all the time. For example, having a “best friend” if you’re not confident in yourself can sometimes lead you to doing things that are really only right for this “best friend”, but not right for you. This will in turn hurt you more than help you, as now you’re letting yourself get taken advantage of in addition to whatever else was already going on, and that will turn into its own cycle.
Don’t let these labels fool you and cause anxiety, they’re just society-created bs. Remember that everyone is in the same boat, we’re all faking it till we make it….some are just better at covering it up than others.

I'll be your best friend. I'm flaky and asexual. I won't ghost you for at least a week though 👻

@SW-User men need their sexuality in order to come back to female friends 🤣

Gotta hate the feeling when your best friend calls someone else their best friend
