Really trying to be someone’s friend sounds creepy. You are either friends, or you are not, regardless of who the person is, or whatever afflictions they have, or do not have.

If I really tried to be friends with someone with a disability, it wouldn’t be genuine. That goes for anyone. You either like a person for who they are, and a friendship may develop, or you don’t. Trying to be friends with someone who is disabled because they are disabled is not a friend I would want. @TexasOutlawTrey
