This is why community and fellowship is so important yet so many are lacking. If you dont have distant cousins/nephews/nieces, your only hope would be community, neighbors or members of some sort of fellowship to care for you if not then yes you would become a ward of the state if/when you can no longer care for yourself.

I didn't think that far ahead, but if I was still single and childless, probably would pay some struggling student to take care of me.
