How difficult is it to predict what's going on in others mind

Ontheroad · M
I don't want to predict what is going on in another's mind... mine is scary enough.

Why would anyone want to? 🤔
Ontheroad · M
@Fluffybull Exactly!
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Very unless you're a mind reader or know them very well.
Rambler · 61-69, M
i've learned it's best not to try

There's one dude on SW - in fact he's on this very post - who tries his best to comment with EXACTLY ten words all the time.
Would it be a stretch to assume this dude's either a control freak or an obsessive-compulsive?
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
Not very, but when people are talking to me. Most of the time, i can tell what people are thinking from their looks to me or from what they say. I read between the lines pretty well.
SW-User
Well... it depends on the issue, and how expressive they are, and if their actions tend to represent what they are thinking...or just control (polite or otherwise).
Repete · 61-69, M
A guess at best. The more you know their habits and the way they act may make it an educated guess but still a guess.
It's not always easy because my own projections are always at work.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@PhoenixPhail
.. yet, what we perceive as coming from someone else's mind, is actually being projected by us to appear only to us exactly as we desire to see it coming from that other person's mind.

In answer to the OP's question then, we could very accurately state that whatever is coming from someone else's mind IS whatever we want it to be, so therefore the outcome is totally predictable.
@swirlie Yes, that's quite possible. There's always the possibility of self-fulfilling prophecy at work.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@PhoenixPhail
Well, as you've already stated regarding your own projections always being at work, the only thing we ever do witness around us is our own self-fulfilling prophecy at work. We are not witnessing someone else's prophecy at work, we are only ever witnessing our own.

Not hard, it gets hard when the person is legally insane. So the entire population
calicuz · 56-60, M
Not at all if one understands psychology.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@calicuz I can only speculate that this is an unpopular view.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@calicuz I know that you will put on a happy face.
If you could, would you overpower their mind with yours?
swirlie · 31-35, F
@jackieash27
If you could? Indeed, we already can and some of us know how to do.
Magenta · F
Very, unless you know them well long term. Behavior is easier to predict.
Tukudo · 41-45, M
Why do you want to know others mind?
Fluffybull · F
@Tukudo Exactly. I hate people trying to psychoanalise me 🙄
Tukudo · 41-45, M
@Fluffybull Even don't know how to handle own mind so much of complications 😄
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
It's very difficult 👀 not guessing right can cause big problem too!
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
You can't really but sometimes you get some really good clues
wintersecret · 41-45, M
Just avoid it and the other will answer it 🤣
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Very . Most of the time it’s damn near impossible.
Sazzio · 31-35, M
Difficult ho sakhda hai but not always.
Djc57 · 56-60, M
It’s not easy. Women are better at it than men.
rrraksamam · 31-35, M
If you know a person, not very
Filipinalez · 18-21, F
