Friends requests

Why is it when you send someone a friend request that they simply ignore them? Whatever happened to having common courtesy to saying yes or no thank you??
Especially frustrating when their profile says “ looking to meet new people “

I never send friend request but I get them and accept them and most of them I have never talked to I don’t know why they sent me one

I don’t know why but for a while I was getting a lot of friends requests that had nothing in common with me . Young women wanting to wrestle or something like that . Why would a young woman want to chat with an old fart? @Strict4u
