That is very sad and difficult when feelings get involved, but if she is a true friend, your friendship would mean more to her. Speaking from experience I’d rather have the person in my life as friend even if I couldn’t be with them.

Sadly, there really isn't a good way to reject someone. Sometimes you can stay friends, but othertimes you can't. It can take years to be friends with someone like this, but honestly it doesn't seem like it's possible.
Best thing for you to do is block her on social media. It's harsh, but she needs to take a hint and move on.

Ignore her message. It’s part of her process. She may change her mind later. You can claim that you never got the first message at that time. She will be relieved and then you can move forward!

@LordShadowfire Yeah, I didn't say anything hurtful in return and explained things, but I've made the decision to let her go as a friend. It crossed the line and I can't really reconcile some of the things she said and still be friends unfortunately.
