@tenente you obviously missed the subsequent Friends movie 馃檮馃檮. They travel to outer space where the ship malfunctions and Ross does, in fact, consume them.
In a surprise twist, Ross learned he was, in fact, adopted. I don't want to give away the whole story but he survives and shares a meal with his biological dad, which included Fava beans and chianti. It was touching and a bit disturbing at the same time.
