Does a guy surprising his female friend on her bday means anything special?

I mean like getting some mutual friends and acquaintances together in a public place and surprising her with cake and gift🤔

@4meAndyou well I thought he forgot cause I was talking with my mom on his phone (my phone died, he put my sim card in his) and an alarm poped up when I finished my call🤣
