It is felt ,foolish on the part of Ukraine president to declare that ukraine wont give up. Already colossal damage has been caused to life and property of innocent and peace loving people of ukrain and why he should continue to be a cause for misery. It it well known that ukraine cannot stand the might of Russia and also none of the west is coming to their rescue and support(except lip sympathy and sanctions Which hardly has any effect on Russia).
Ukranian president should have saved the life and property of ukranians (like president of Afghanisthan. Who abandoned the fight and surrendered talibans , to save his people and property and fled Aghanisthan), by accepting the Russian demands/conditions and stopped the bloody war.

@Vimala Wow...I don't know what reporting you have been seeing, but first you have to understand that the Ukraine is NOT a strong man state; if the Ukrainians chose to leave--and many families have made choices to get women & children out, as has been widely reported--then they would do so.
But it is clear that the Ukrainian people *want* to defend their homes, and that they have done *far* better against Russian troops who are demoralized, hungry, and not being paid, and who are not marching off with the blessings of pumped-up, cheering throngs--than anyone thought that they would.
Putin chose poorly, and his savage disregard for international laws, norms, etc., are laid bare for all--except Trump, I guess--to see.
Regarding the West, the reporting has been quite clear that not only have various policies affected the country quickly, but going after Putin, the oligarchs, etc., to freeze or seize assets is a win, AND the fact that Switzerland has actually sided with the current EU and abandoned neutrality for this...THAT is incredibly significant.
