Idk. India is a very powerful and nuclear country with a huge population
And Australia is aligned with the other western powers,
So I doubt it honestly despite all the tough talk

It’s true
But there are a lot of countries teaming up to oppose China’s naval ambitions as well. My country Canada is doing joint drills and patrols with countries like Australia, new Zealand, US, Japan, South Korea pretty much on china’s face. So China is far from being in complete control of East Asian waters. I could see Chinese’s aggression driving India to closer military cooperation with the West as well @SabinaV

@Rickg In terms of number of ships -- surface vessels and submarines -- China has the largest navy in the world, according to the US Department of Defense. At the end of 2020, the size of China's navy -- or its "battle force ships" -- was approximately 360, compared to the United States' 297, according to the US Office

Yea, but it’s dealing with the combined navies of multiple countries. And also what are the quality of the sailors and officers, how good is their technical training, and what is the quality, firepower and maneuverability of their vessels?
Just having the largest force doesn’t ensure victory at all. Not that I’m saying China couldn’t win, but there’s lots of things to consider @SabinaV
