@Subalugirl I used to use music to help distract my mind from things, but now I find music too distracting and it makes it difficult for me to dive deep into my sub-conscience and forget who I am, and forgetting my name and who I am is how I get to sleep some times. Also music has a habit of giving me story ideas, and if I listen to music at night I find I start thinking up a story in my head and find it hard to sleep. Or I fall asleep thinking of the story, and wake up later and find part of my brain has continued the story, but I have no idea how I've gotten to where I am in the narrative.

How can you fall asleep wearing headphones? My head and my neck hurt so bad just leaning back my pillow.
