How should I have responded to this girl after she said I was lazy?

not that it matters now but i'm curious.

four years ago i meant this girl at the job that i have now we were but into each other.

something she said that piss me off was that i was a bit lazy.

not sure if she said that because i had no plans to go to college or because i did not drive back then.

i never said anything to her
