Youre a 33 year old man. Would you rather have a 26 year old partner, or a 30 year old partner for a long term relationship/marriage?

Yes I know there are other variables, but let's just go based on age

26. It worked for me...

That's just it, you can't really judge by age, not when it's that small a margin. People vary so much in life experience.
MntoNc · 36-40, M
@KuroNeko if youre 33 and there's a 30 year old and 26, that's kind of considerable, not significant, but thats a 3 year gap and a 7 year gap
KuroNeko · 41-45, F
@MntoNc I've been with people more mature at 10 yes younger than me that someone 10 years older. The numbers are insignificant in my experience.

For me, this is not hypothetical. I got married at age 32, and my wife is 7 years younger than I am. So when I was 33, she turned 26.
A seven year age gap creates too many variables. The thirty year old seems more reasonable, but other factors may work against that relationship.

Too many variables. Not enough age difference to matter but if every single thing was equal I would say 26.
Easier for traditional relationships when man is a bit older and fertility and waiting a bit to get pregnant will be less pressure but 30 is still not old for the woman.
Just choose the best girl. Thats it

{@mntonc] to me age would not be one of my main consideration in any relationship . there are a few more important things than that
IsabelBradford · 46-50, M
If I had to go just based on age, I’ll take the 26.
toddr13 · 46-50, M
If you want multiple children in a heterosexual relationship, the 26-year-old would have the opportunity for one or two more children, assuming typical biological limitations of the human reproductive system.
toddr13 · 46-50, M
@MntoNc True, but you had less of a chance of cyber bulling than they did. In a way that's better.
MntoNc · 36-40, M
@toddr13 cyber bullying, lol. Theres really no such thing. You can easily just block people, so I believe cyber bullying isn't a thing. I had bullying bullying g in school!
toddr13 · 46-50, M
@MntoNc I did, too, rite of passage in a private school, so it seems.
MntoNc · 36-40, M
@Ingwe explain. Not a right or wrong answer, just like to hear reasons
Ingwe · F
@MntoNc waiting for the guy to get some sense , he should be older.. she younger
MntoNc · 36-40, M
@OnlyRhonda why? Just curious
OnlyRhonda · 36-40, F
@MntoNc Closer in age, possibly more chance of similar interests and when you both are older, maybe die at same time.
If so I’d prefer a 36-37 year old female partner. I like a slightly older than me woman.
MntoNc · 36-40, M
@jackjjackson for marriage? Thats backwards to me. Why would you want an older women who's 1 - looks are going to fade faster 2 - already at risk for pregnancy if you decide you want kids
Men never catch up to women maturity wise. The age difference would level that playing field. @MntoNc
@MntoNc you're operating under the assumption that either party wants kids. If they don't, then the age is irrelevant. If they do, then they can either adopt or find a surrogate mother.
