Do advertisements persuade you into buying things?
To me they're hellaciously annoying and infiltrating every crevice of my brain. Everywhere I look they're flashing in my face, insultingly, insinuatingly targeted at my demographic.

I hardly notice them. I only watch TV without them (easy in the UK) or record things I like and fast forward through the ads, have an effective ad blocker online, and pay YouTube not to show me their commercials. I see print ads, but rarely take notice of them. I've cancelled my subscriptions to those who insist on showing me ads. If I want to buy something, I'll go looking on line or better still, in a real-life shop.
