why are the majority of tv ads now about cancer or other disease related ads

i've noticed this recently, all the ads virtually are cancer ads or a disease related, it makes for gloomy watching, i always mute the ads when the ad breaks come on.......they're also showing all the same ads as they did last year, just repeating them over and over.
