why are the majority of tv ads now about cancer or other disease related ads

i've noticed this recently, all the ads virtually are cancer ads or a disease related, it makes for gloomy watching, i always mute the ads when the ad breaks come on.......they're also showing all the same ads as they did last year, just repeating them over and over.

Ad agencies don’t really care about the diseases or the patients. They just want to get the attention of the target audience and bank as much as they want. They best way to get people’s attention is to hit where it hurts.
