I'm a diabetic, epileptic asthmatic overweight man in his mid 30s, why am I always getting recruitment advertisements?

For the army, maybe they're in the market for cannon fodder.

Armed forces are getting desperate for recruits. I kept getting hit up by the Marines and kinda considered it but decided against it.

@deadgerbil They do this thing with the marines where they make you stand in cold water at the beach for hours, or hang on, was that the navy seals. Still, the marines sounds tough.

@deadgerbil I wanted to be in the Marines when I was younger but I'm a female. It's my understanding females can join but I've met more than a few sexist recruiters that I didn't want to. Aside from the marines, it was also a few army recruiters too.

As time wore on, when seeing veterans and how they treated people, the pay, the risk etc. I was like yeah no. If you get told no so many times and then combine that with stupid things they told you it doesn't exactly inspire enthusiasm.
