Europeans who know about biology/wine, why does the corking effect happen to wine and not other alcohol drinks?

2 reasons
1st If the wine is stored incorrectly and mold will appear in the cork area.
2nd It occurs when even small amounts of chlorine-containing substances (such as cleaning agents or bleach) react with the phenol in natural cork. In both cases TCA (2,4,6-Trichloroanisole) emerges.
