I Drink Wine

I have traveled through a good portion of the United States, Canada and Mexico. Heck I even flew to Australia. Everywhere I've been I love to stop and sample the local wines. I feel you can meet quite a few "winos" (LOL) that way. There have been many wines that I have grown to adore...many of which come from the Oregon and Washington State areas. There is something about the volcanic soil that rounds out the grapes so beautifully. Often when I'm shopping for wines, I run into novelists that ask for my opinion, and depending on their tastes I tend to steer them towards those wines.

Go to France. French wines...and Italian, are awesome!

@walabby I have sampled some Italian and French wines here in the states, but you are right. Someday I would love to travel there and go to their wineries. There is something about going to the source that is truly special.

@MaladyRed The French in particular tend to keep their bast wines at home, and export the second quality ones. You can buy excellent wines in the supermarket for 6 or US$7.00. Prices in Italy are even cheaper...

@walabby You are right. Most countries do tend to keep their best wines to themselves. I know that is especially true with the Germans.

@MaladyRed Australia doesn't keep the best of anything. All of out really good stuff is exported and we eat what's left... :/
