Whisky drinkers of SW

I want to get my brother a really good whisky, price around £70 but I don't drink so I have no idea what to get. Does anyone have any recommendations?

[Beautifullyderanged] I've heard, from single malt scotch drinkers, that some like a lot of "peat" flavor, some like a little, and some like no peat at all. So if you can get a reading on where your brother is on the peat scale, you can probably zero in on a single malt he'll appreciate. Good luck!

@BizSuitStacy I have tried a whole variety of them throughout the years. I tend to go to the less peaty ones recently. I just bought an Aberlour and Cardhu.
