Can you make a sound, MORAL/ETHICAL argument for NOT being Vegan?

Even if you think you would or could never be a vegan...can you make an ethical argument against the idea that anyone who has the means to be vegan SHOULD be vegan?

Because it is my CHOICE. pro choice all the way across. including abortion, guns, and vaccines.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy

It's your choice to inflict suffering where suffering need not be inflicted? That strikes you as an ethical argument?
@Pikachu who are you to tell me how to live my life, you are no better than the right wingers who want to impose their morals on women.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy

Um...i didn't tell you how to live your life. I asked you a question.
I'm not fighting you, i'm trying to have a discussion with you.
So...what's your answer?
@Pikachu I eat meat because i like the taste. i also eat corn because i like the taste. whats great is...... i dont have to choose. you eat whatever you like, and i will eat what i like. if that bothers you, i dont know what to tell you. maybe you can convince a difference sweep not to eat meat. you wont have any luck here.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy
i dont know what to tell you
I want you to tell me why you consider that to be an ethical position.
I'm not asking you "Do you like meat?" or "Do you intend to stop eating meat?".

I'm asking you if you can make an argument for why it is ethical to cause unnecessary suffering on the basis that it is your choice to cause unnecessary suffering.

So...can you? Or can you only reiterate that you want to eat meat and your mind won't be changed?
@Pikachu its probably not ethical....... but, then, im not perfect, so...... hold on a sec (takes a bite of bacon)....... in actuality, you are probably right.... (takes another bite of bacon)....... its no more ethical than me working my ass off to pay taxes to give to people who refuse to work........ (takes another bite of bacon)
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy
(takes another bite of bacon)
lol that's your play? Trying to antagonize me by talking about eating meat?
Evidently you don't know me.
Don't try to troll me, guy. You're wasting your time there. Instead just have an honest conversation with me.
Or of course, don't.
I'm not trying to make you change your ways, i'm challenging you to thoughtfully confront your reasons and justifications for making the choices that you do.
its probably not ethical.
I agree.....so if you already know that the decision you have made is not ethical...one wonders why you decided to enter this thread?

I mean, you might just as well have entered a thread opposed to beating women and said "I know it's wrong to beat my wife (backhands wife in the mouth) but it's my CHOICE to beat my wife so excuse me (punches wife in the face)...you're probably right (knocks woman's teeth out)...."

Would that be funny too?

Come on, if you think you have a valid ethical position then makes your case.
@Pikachu you're never going to change me, and Im never going to change you. i would hope that those who raise animals for consumption do so in the most humane way possible. also, i am no more of a troll than you are. i am for the most part, a libertarian........ you dont want a gay marriage, dont get one, you dont want a gun, dont buy one........ you dont want to smoke weed, dont buy it. dont want a cheeseburger, dont eat it. dont attempt to impose your morals on others. thats the problem i have with alot of conservatives and liberals. they just cant let others be.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy
you're never going to change me....dont attempt to impose your morals on others.
It seems like you're not paying attention....
I have stated explicitly that, that changing you is not my goal in this thread and nor is it my goal to impose my morals on you but simply to see if you have an ethical argument for making the choices around animal suffering that you have made.

I don't know why you're shying away from talking through your rationalizations while also insisting on being present in this thread.
But i can't force you to make a thoughtful argument if you don't want to, so you do you.
i am no more of a troll than you are
lol then i advise you to stop (TaKEs ANotHEr bItE of baCOn) behaving like one😉👍
@Pikachu we will have to agree to disagree...... well, you dont have to agree to disagree, but, i am going to agree to disagree. i have no need to justify my lifestyle to you or anybody else on the internet. have a wonderful day and good luck in your quest.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy
i have no need to justify my lifestyle to you or anybody else on the internet
lol Jesus H Christ....nobody forced you to enter this thread.
What was you purpose in entering this thread if you had no intention of engaging with the subject matter?
am going to agree to disagree
I'm not sure how you intend to do that given that you have yet to actually present a position to which i can agree or disagree.
False diplomacy is empty.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy

Just be more prepared the next time.
It's right in my profile description lol

@Pikachu i always liked charizard better anyway. LOL
