I've tried green tea, chai tea, matcha tea, and there's even a purple tea (?) but I think I'll just stick with my tried, tested and loved, Yorkshire tea. Even if the price is astronomical.
@bijouxbroussard Twinings said it had experienced “some challenges with sourcing the blend”, which is why it made the “difficult decision” to replace it with “a new blend which replicates the distinct flavour of the original”. Which is not true. The new flavor smells like dust beaten up from a carpet.
What is purple tea? Never heard of it here. I love all sorts of teas. The problem with combination flavored herbal teas is that many of the common brands will use several ingredients that I have a sensitivity too such as Rooibos and Hibiscus.
My favorite flavor of black tea is Earl Grey. I like it for either hot tea or iced tea. I like to buy green gunpowder tea and either add fresh spearmint leaves or cardamom seeds crushed up. It’s also good with lemon juice. I also like Chai black tea in the winter, very warming.
I like those "breakfast" teas. Why tea? Coffee has too much caffeine for me, and other beverages have too many calories. I make a big hot mug of plain black tea and I can reheat it in the microwave without the flavor altering very much.
Why is tea my favourite? It’s not. Coffee and hot chocolate are but I drink tea when I’m in the mood for something light. It’s usually just the Tesco or Sainsbury’s own brand. Tastes just as good as brand tea.
@asmallbear Twinings? I buy it for the boy because it is good for stimulating the immune system. I have tasted it but have to avoid Rooibos which is an ingredient in it due to it triggering rheumatoid arthritis symptoms.
@asmallbear The 210 Tea bags are quite the deal. Yes the gold is very expensuve, but super smooth.. I'm in Canada and drink Yorkshire whenever i can. I also lived in Yorkshire for some time and it brings back happy memories..
