@SW-User We're civilised in this country, Gemma! Back in the late 1970s I used to have the best of both worlds - an automatic electric one which looked old-fashioned and whistled. Never been able to find one again

@SW-User My ex-business partner makes a brilliant Liverpool Bread Pudding (thicker than that) called "Wet Nelly". Not what you think lol! It's derived from the Lancashire "Nelson Cake", but more moist
