Not bad, not a bad tasting tea.

As I mentioned a number of weeks ago I bought a whole pound of curry leaves. And reading online I found out that some make a tea out of the real curry leafs.

Do not try this though with store bought curry! 😆 It doesn't even have curry in it.

Now normal I don't drink any teas. The cost per cup just isn't worth it for one. Coffee, per cup, is so much cheaper and I go through nearly two pots of coffee a day.

Yet this pound of curry leaves only cost me ten bucks. Yeah it's still far more expensive yet it's not exorbitant like other other teas.

So I gave these curry leaves a try.

First off I must mention that I had already ground up half a quart container of these curry leaves in a ninja blender and have been using the near power in just about everything so far.

Yet I still have a large amount to use in other ways. So I just had to give this tea a try.

Putting in a heaping soup spoon in a coffee filter and locking it with a stripped metal twister has always worked for me even when I didn't have a coffee maker.

Then I boiled up four cups of water and put the closed curry filter in the water while it was being to boil.

It definitely smells and tastes like a tea, yet it's on the sweeter side.

I do recommend trying trying this. Mostly especially if you're able to get cheap curry leaves. It sure does beat the expense of commercial teas.
I bought a green tea leaf packet last year. These things last long

@mysteryespresso believe me, you'll like this better than green tea. While green tea is probably the least expensive of the available teas, it's still exorbitant in cost.

Especially if you go through a lot of tea. The British here do drink more teas than I ever would.

I do prefer coffee. Ten dollars gets me 1 pound and a half of coffee.
