How long has all chocolate been poor quality?

Quality varies. I had a perfect chocolate from Peru not that long ago. But it was an obvious local product. The chain chocolates like Milka, Schogetten, Ritter Sport or Fin Carré are becoming worse in quality and still more and more expensive.

Merci and JD Gross are still somewhat okay. Lindt so-so.

Oh, and this one is amazing too.
