No. Every employer should let their staff organise, especially those on close to minimum wage. The only power the people have is to collaborate to negotiate good conditions of work including appeal and complaints. Unions are not just there to negotiate pay rises. The laws in the US need to be in favour of such employers allowing their people to organise.
