Hallo everyone. I have never done this before but I thought I would share a couple of recipes with you fine people.
Mickey's American Style Lasagna
1 Box of Lasagna sheets or noodles
1 tin of tomatoes
1 tin of cream of tomato
3 cloves of garlic chopped
2 large onions shopped finally
1lb of ground beef mince
1lb of ground turkey or pork mince
1 large tub of ricotta or cottage cheeses
bag of grated mozzarella cheeses
bag of regular grated cheddar cheeses
1 bag of parmesan cheeses
1 teaspoon of chilli power
1 teaspoon of parsley
1 teaspoon of basil
tub of cream
Method
1. Place ground beef and turkey mince in to a large skillet and fry with the onions until meat is nice and browned
2. Empty the tub of ricotta in to a large bowl and add the parmesan cheeses and parsley. Mix together and then add the cream and give a final mix and set aside
3. Add the tin of tomatoes and tomato soup along with the chilli and basil and stir in to the meat mixture and simmer until bubbling
4. In a large roasting dish put a little milk on the bottom of the dish to stop the pasta sticking. Layer the pasta sheets on the bottom and then spread some of that cheeses mixture over the top. Lay your second lot of pasta sheets over the top of that. Spread the meat mixure on top and continue layering making sure the final layer is pasta and cheeses mixture.
5. Sprinkle cheddar and remaning parmesan on top
6. Cover the dish with grease proof paper and them with tin or aluminum foil.
7 bake for 1 hour covered and then half an hour uncovered. Total time 1 and a half hours
8. Take out the over and let it settle for 5 minutes
9. Serve with fresh salad and garlic bread
serves 5 people but can be altered to fee more or less.
Well I hope you like it.
