PERFECT ITALIAN PUMPKIN LASAGNA WITH RICH BÉCHAMEL
https://www.recipesfromitaly.com/pumpkin-lasagna/
what is BÉCHAMEL? well basically it's gravy (butter and milk based gravy)
this recipe calls for chopping and slow cooking the pumpkin but .. i'd hack it by by blending the pumpkin with the milk for the gravy .. adding the spices to the butter for the gravy then cooking it all together
or even easier skip all that gravy miking and cooking .. shred the pumpkin and butter add the spices and flour and mix together .. add everything to the noodle layers raw and just bake longer 😒 mind you i haven't tried this it't just an idea then add milk over the top and cover it so it doesn't burn prematurely .. or if too just bake the pumpkin in advance add it to the gravy sauce like normal (blending it in the blender with the milk for the gravy sauce)
i think thats the best way.. i made a sweet potato pie by throwing cold baked sweet potatoes into the blender with water and then mixing them into the rest of the pie filling but i'm going off topic.. i love pumpkin pie and made one the other day.. i wonder what a pumpkin cheese pie would be like like a savory pie instead of a sweet pie that is ☺
