I haven't made it but there was a Hungarian restaurant in Danbury, CT that made the best Hungarian goulash. I checked a few months ago and the restaurant is no longer there. 🙁

Not the real thing. I tried making it once, from a cookbook recipe, but I'm sure some of my ingredients weren't authentic and I'm also sure my final version was not the "real" thing.

Looks good, but the goulash I know doesn't resemble Hungarian.

I make it sometimes.. the American macaroni version tho ground beef, tomato sauce, chopped onions, peppers, garlic and spices and sauce soy and worcestershire

Use to do some farm work (haying) for this lovely old couple when I was a youth. Best damn goulash I ever had, but that could be the influence of exhaustion.
