I was homeless. I used to go to the Hare Krishna temple. They would feed you and we did some chanting. A fair exchange.

@Entwistle Hare Krishna don't feed folks everyday do they? Steve Job said he went to the Hare Krishna place once a week to get a decent meal.

@sree251 They feed the homeless everyday in the big cities and in their smaller temples whenever you attend.

@Entwistle Chanting for food is a fair exchange?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@sree251 The chanting wasn't obligatory. The food was free. So ..yes.

@Entwistle Do you still remember the chant? Are you spiritual?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@sree251 It was the Hare Krishna mantra.
I'm a Buddhist.

@Entwistle Is there a difference? Hinduism and Buddhism share the same transcendental path.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@sree251 There are quite a few major differences. Buddhism doesn't teach that a soul exists or that reincarnation occurs. Hinduism teaches both do.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Entwistle It depends on what the perspective is. If you see differences, then there are differences; otherwise, there are none.

@sree251 That's not the case here at all.
