HASSELBACK POTATO. Best & Easy BAKED POTATOES

This classic Swedish dish has become popular worldwide due to its unique flavor and appearance. Hasselback Potato is a potato that is sliced lengthwise and baked until golden and crispy. It combines a soft and tender inside with a texture reminiscent of potato chips. It’s a fantastic and delicious dish that can be served as a side or a starter or even as a main course.
Also you can add by choice grated cheese, ham, bacon or greens and each time dish will get a new taste!

News to me that it's Swedish, i always thought it was German or Swiss.

I cut the potatoes in half, place them between two cutting boards cut side down and make as many cuts as I can be bothered with a sharp knife.

Edit: Wikipedia agrees with you.
Origins

Hasselback potatoes may have been created in 1953 by Leif Elisson, a trainee chef at Hasselbacken restaurant on Djurgården, Stockholm.[5]

However, there is a recipe for "Oven Fried Potatoes (Hasselback Potatoes )" in the 1929 "Prinsessornas kokbok" (The cookbook of Princesses) by Jenny Åkerström,[6] leading to some question as to whether the recipe does in fact originate at the restaurant.
