Comfort first for kitties

So I bought a cat enclosure/cage initially to place it in the balcony.. I got it tall enough on purpose so that they can watch birds and squirrels. My balcony overlooks so many trees 🌳 with birds and squirrels...

Now the timing is not right as "winter is coming" and it will get too cold to have them sit in it outdoors, but I was on cat fever buying all sorts of things for them and I thought that would be a great addition to have them get some fresh air, hear birds and watch outside world. The weather was/is still not cold and can be very sunny, and when that happens, it is actually quite warm..

I put all sorts of hanging toys in it to make it more appealing and they didn't mind it, but were not particularly interested about it.. I also tried to close it on them to see if they will accept it and they definitely did not mind it and started playing inside for a good long while after which they started mewing at me to get them out. So it was successful and I think once out in the balcony probably in the spring/summer they might love the experience..

It is interesting though how a very small detail changes the whole thing.. because while they did not mind it, they never went there to play inside despite the toys and despite that it is placed by the windows where they can watch stuff.. but I was cleaning yesterday and found this hammock i bought for the cage but turned out too large for it so I shoved it inside temporarily just to reduce the clutter in the living room... only this small unintended addition apparently made all the difference for kitties 🥔🤷‍♀

Apparently those kitties 😸 have comfort FIRST on the list lol Now since these have this comfy piece of cloths, I notice kitties go there often.. sometimes they sit there and watch and then fall asleep or they go there just to sleep! .

Now I got more ideas to design this cage! I am thinking of getting fake grass for the ground, heated pads/blankets for a shelve or two shelves and to place cat grass on the third one (if they end up growing because they don't seem like it). Speaking of which, was i supposed to bury the seeds as opposed to sprinkling them as such? The instructions said press them to the soil and not bury them but i don't know.. i don't see any change but maybe it is too soon.. been two days but reviews said it grows within four or five days 🤔
