What does it mean? Hungry or just playing?
One kitty loves to lick my hands or fingers, and the other sometimes licks but mostly likes to bite but very gently more like nibbling. What does it mean? Hungry or just playing?

If they're grooming you, it's a way to bond, but be careful they don't get overexcited and start biting your hand, then your hand will be like a prey they will immobilize and start kicking with their rear legs, they are learning cats' tricks at this age, and you can become like a dummy for their training.

@EarthlingWise So when nibbles on it, I should still tell him no? I felt that would be the right thing because you never know when he might bite harder suddenly lol

My beloved Ms. Kitten licked my fingers once in the seven years we were together and that was only because I had just eaten a piece of cheese. Sometimes when we played chase she would bite me. Her teeth were sharp but it never even left a red mark, she knew exactly what she was doing. She's been gone now almost nine years. I miss her every day.

@TheLadyPotato One time we were playing chase around the table and couch in the middle of the living room. She was on the other side and couldn't see me so I decided to go the other way and sneak up on her. Instead, she snuck up on me and wrapped all four legs around my calf and bit me. Didn't even leave a mark. Probably my favorite memory of her.
