When I was 22, I moved to a new part of the country where I knew nobody, but almost immediately all kinds of people were greeting me on the street by name as if they knew me.

One day I was sitting at McDonald's and a stranger sat down and started talking to me, and after a few minutes looked at me and said, "Oh, you're not ......., are you?"

He explained that I looked exactly like a certain politician in a nearby city. And he and I had the same first name.

So, to answer your question, I would call the police with a tip, "I think I know who you're looking for..."

At 75, I think that where I live, it would be a higher probability that I would depart this earth before law enforcement found me, even if it wasn’t actually looking for me, but for someone else. Come to think about it, they probably would find the wrong me before the right me. But the rent would be much less in prison, so there’s that.

I once went to the police station myself when a local cyclist shouted at me that he had right of way. He didn't. This is Belgium, not Holland. Despite having threatened to report me there was no report entered.

That would be scary. There needs to be evidence though. I wait to see if I got shopped 🙂
