The liberals won in Canada, thanks to Trump!

A few months ago, the liberals were soooo unpopular, it was a given they were going to lose, and even when Trudeau stepped down, that didn’t mean much at that point (reminded me of the exact same scenario in the US). What has changed since then, is that a crazy orange took office in the US and the conservative party started becoming unpopular in Canada (all of sudden after it was leading) because it just resembled or mirrored Trump in the eyes of everyone. Given all the tariff wars, i guess no one wanted a conservative leading all the negotiation talk with that orange face.

It's so funny you still call the left wing party 'liberals' in both the USA and Canada because here in Australia 'liberals' are the right wing Australian Liberal/National Party aka Australian Trump Republican Party neo-con cronies.

@zonavar68 It can get confusing. This is why right wing and left wing are more descriptive, although those are relative. In many European countries, the Democrats would be centrist and the Republicans fascists.
