I am working with a manager for the first time and Idk why I feel he is scared of me 🥔🤷🏽‍♀

Like he is hesitant to give me work in the sense he asks for permission as if i am doing him a favour, when my time is actually booked on the project so I am available to support that project .. and then I told him we are behind schedule on something, and I meant I was offering to help and he started explaining why we were behind schedule and was like umm I am gonna get it done.

I feel weird and awkward dealing with him.

Maybe he's just watching to see how you handle this. Maybe he's afraid of loading you down with too much work. If it gets too bad, you might just have to say "Hey. Can we talk for a minute? Is my work performance up to your standards? I'm getting the feeling I am doing something wrong, because I am sending hesitation from you."

If you want to proceed with my advice, that's awesome. You might even want to twerk it a little bit. Either way, I hope things work out for you.

@tactical360 umm I hardly think it is about work performance. I have literally not handed him a single deliverable yet or dealt with him that much to begin with
